News has emerged this week that major soft drinks firm Coca Cola have held recent talks with Aurora Cannabis, You can read the report here. This news is massive for the International cannabis market and a huge step towards breaking the stigma attached to the herb. The potential partnership would be based on creating a new production line where the drink would be infused with CBD – focussing more on the health aspect, maybe trying to break a stigma themselves within the brand. Let’s face it when we think of Coca Cola, nourishment isn’t the first thought that springs to mind.

This year the UK has seen a few hemp infused drink options hitting the shelves of big retail players operating in towns and online. You can now find CBD water on the shelves of selected Holland and Barrett and Sainsburys stores. Online supermarket retailer Ocado have also agreed to retail Love Hemp’s Water product.

CBD infused coffee is now emerging into the UK too (you can read some reports here). Could cannabis coffee help you wake up calmer in the mornings? I’m certainly willing to give it a try, anything to make mornings better to deal with has got my vote.

You can now even find cannabis infused beer here in the UK – ‘The High Flyer’ craft beer is available from a Manchester/South London collaboration. Would you try a cannabis beer with potential health benefits?

You can bet your last pound that there will be some other big hitters entering the industry in time soon. Other sectors might also follow with talk of bath bombs coming soon… Now that would take the term ‘relaxing bath to a new level! The green rush is starting and where it ends is anyone’s guess. We’re only too happy to see the stigma being broken more and more, helped along with some huge brands coming to the fore.
